What Happened to Martin Lloyd-Jones? Theologies in Contrast, Part 2
Lloyd-Jones’s commitment to Calvinist Reformed theology is of course the determining factor in his conversion.
In part two of this four-part series, Pastor John seeks to reveal this in his analysis of the critical experience Lloyd-Jones endured—a deep paralyzing depression he described as a “despair of doubt” which he believed was an assault of the devil—exposing him to be in bondage to the primal sin of pride. Pastor John contrasts this with the similar experience of the apostle Peter.
